In the first season, Jackie was taken in by Katherine Walter (played by Sarah Rafferty), her late mother’s best friend, after she lost both her parents and her older sister Lucy in a tragic car accident. Katherine lives on a ranch that has been owned by her husband George (played by Marc Blucas) for generations, along with their nine sons and one daughter. As Jackie tried to adjust to life with such a large, vibrant family and a new high school, she found herself caught in the middle of a love triangle involving brothers Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry) — two very different personalities.
According to the official description for season two: “When Katherine convinces her to return to Colorado, Jackie is determined to make amends with Alex and set clear boundaries with Cole while she tries to find her place in the Walter family. But finding her feet again proves to be no easy task.”
Alex has grown up a lot over the summer and is not thrilled with Jackie’s attempts to reconnect. His focus is on training for a dangerous rodeo competition, and he clearly enjoys the new attention he’s getting.
But Cole has changed too. He takes on a new role at school, but when it doesn’t fill the void left by his retirement from football, his old habits come back to bite him — and of course, drama ensues.
As Jackie slowly finds her place in Silver Falls and tries to hold on to her Howard identity, she must make a pivotal choice that will once again risk everything she’s built.
Netflix also shared several first-look images featuring Jackie, both brothers, and the rest of the Walter family. Check them out below.
