Duhamel plays Staten Kirkland, the owner and sole resident of the sprawling Double K Ranch.

James Brolin (pictured, left) plays Cap Fuller, an ex-army captain and the brutal, stubborn owner of Fuller Ranch. After losing his only son in Afghanistan, Cap buried his grief in work and the occasional drink. His once-renowned ranch has fallen into a mild state of disrepair. Cap resists the pressure to sell and hires a new foreman, Yancy Grey. He soon lets the young man know exactly what he is doing wrong. Cap is as salty as can be and is only kept in line by Ellie, the daughter of a fallen comrade in arms, who keeps an eye on him from time to time.
Eoin Macken (pictured, center) plays Davis, the charming, Ivy-educated owner of the modern Bar W Ranch. Unlike his counterpart Staten Kirkland, Davis wants to take advantage of the priceless aquifer that runs beneath Ransom's ranch. But this is far from the first conflict between Staten and Davis. The two largest landowners in Ransom, the Kirkland and Collins families, have been feuding for generations. But the passionate views on the water pipeline aren't the only things Davis and Staten share. Both have fallen hard for the seductive Quinn O'Grady (Kelly), lavender farmer and owner of the local dance hall in Ransom.
Lizzy Greene (pictured, right) plays Lauren Brigman, Ransom Canyon's ambitious head cheerleader. As the daughter of the sheriff and girlfriend of arrogant quarterback Reid Collins, Lauren seems to be living her best life, but all she really wants is to leave this small town behind. Lauren has her sights set on joining the UT Austin cheer squad, but she must escape her strict father's wishes to stay in Ransom. Lauren's only reprieve comes in the form of a new, unexpected love: Lucas Russell, a kind-hearted underdog from the other side of the tracks who her father and her friends do not approve of.
