Apple TV+'s The Savant adds final actors to cast

Apple TV+ has assembled the cast for The Savant starring Jessica Chastain.
The eight-part limited series comes from writer/executive producer/showrunner Melissa James Gibson, Fifth Season and Anonymous Content.

Cole Doman, Michael Mosley, Dagmara Dominczyk, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, newcomer Toussaint Francois Battiste, Hannah Gross and David Wilson Barnes (pictured clockwise) join the previously announced Chastain, Nnamdi Asomugha and James Badge Dale , who has a recurring role.

Chastain, who is also an executive producer, plays a top-secret investigator known as the Savant, who infiltrates online hate groups to round up the most violent men in the country. Asomugha plays her husband.

Inspired by a true story published by Cosmopolitan, the storyline and further details about the characters are being kept secret.

Chastain and Kelly Carmichael produce through her Freckle Films. James Gibson is executive producer and Matthew Heineman directs and produces. Jessica Giles, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, produces and Brian Madden, SVP of Development for Hearst Magazines, produces. Stanley is a consultant.

Doman appeared as Rex Huntington in HBO Max's teen drama Gossip Girl (2021) and previously had guest roles on Showtime's Let the Right One In, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago PD, both from NBC.

Mosley is known for his roles as hacker CM in Fox series neXt (2020), starring John Slattery, Colin Muldoon in the fourth season of USA Network's anthology series The Sinner, with Bill Pullman, and Pastor Mason Young in the crime drama Ozark from Netflix. He also starred in the Netflix limited series Seven Seconds and ABC's Pan Am, among others.

Dominczyk played Karolina Novotnet in HBO's Succession and Erika Jensen in HBO's We Own This City. She had a recurring role on Hello Tomorrow! from Apple TV+.

Spiro is known for her roles on Ozark, as Rachel Garrison, and NBC's Blindspot, as Sarah Weller. In Law & Order: Special Victims Unit she appeared in two different roles: as Delia Hackman in a guest role and as Special Agent Sykes in a recurring role.

Gross appeared in the first season of Netflix's Mindhunter and in the second season of The Sinner.

Barnes starred in AMC's western drama The Son, starring Pierce Brosnan, the first season of HBO's Perry Mason (2020) and the final two seasons of AMC's Hell On Wheels.
