Adria Arjona will play a role in Prime Video's Criminal

The cast of Ed Brubaker's comic series Criminal is completed with Adria Arjona in a regular role. Criminal is an interlocking universe of crime stories based on the multiple Eisner Award-winning graphic novel series by Brubaker and Sean Phillips.



Arjona (photo) joins the previously announced Richard Jenkins. She brings to life Greta, a sharp-tongued car thief and driver and Angie's widow and mother. Since her husband died during a bank robbery that went bad, Greta has been battling with herself over how to escape the only life she's ever known - and the only place where she's ever thrived. The problem is, she's good at this. She's looking for a big shot, a lump of money that she can use like a gun to shoot her and Angie out of this life and into another.

It was previously revealed that Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden have been confirmed to direct the first four episodes. The series is produced by Brubaker and Jordan Harper, alongside Phillips, Sarah Carbiener and Phillip Barnett. Legendary Television is also executive producer. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

Arjona played the role of Bix Caleen in the successful series Andor, a prequel to the film Star Wars: Rogue One for Disney+. Arjona also appeared in HBO's True Detective season two, Prime Video's Good Omens, NBC's Emerald City and HBO's Irma Vep, a limited series based on Olivier Assayas' 1996 feature film.

Well-known film titles in which she appeared include Hit Man, Morbius, 6 Underground, Pacific Rim: Uprising and Father of the Bride.
