In addition to Martin, the fivesome join regular cast members Sarah Gadon and Brandon Jay McLaren.

The eight-episode Wayward is a thriller set in a bucolic yet sinister town that explores the treacherous underbelly of the "problematic teen industry" and the eternal struggle between one generation and the next.

Topliffe and Lind play best friends Abbie and Leila; Adams will play a school counsellor, sources said.

Martin serves as co-showrunner with Ryan Scott, who is also executive producer. Ben Farrell produces through his Objective Fiction, along with Hannah Mackay, Jennifer Kawaja and Bruno Dubé. Sphere Media produces.

Lind can currently be seen in a recurring role on Roku's The Spiderwick Chronicles. She also has a regular role in Syfy's horror-comedy series Chucky. Lind also appeared in the post-apocalyptic comedy-drama series Daybreak.

Adams is known for his role as Mike Ross on USA Network's Suits. He also starred in National Geographic's historical drama series The Right Stuff and had a recurring role on Prime Video's A League Of Their Own.

Gallagher appeared as Atilla the Hun in the Night at the Museum film trilogy with Ben Stiller. On the series front, he has starred in ABC's Big Sky, Paramount+'s Joe Pickett and The CW's iZombie. Gallagher is also the voice of Lord Daichi in Netflix's Blue Eye Samurai.

Close starred in Epix's miniseries The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair and guest-starred on CBS's Person of Interest, FX's Fargo and TNT's Animal Kingdom (2016), among others.
