Sam Neill cast opposite Eric Bana in Netflix limited series Untamed

Sam Neill stars opposite Eric Bana in Untamed, from Warner Bros. Television and studio-based John Wells Productions. Written by Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith, Untamed is a character-driven mystery thriller that follows Kyle Turner (Bana), a special agent for the National Parks Service who works to enforce human law in nature's vast wilderness . The investigation into a brutal death sends Turner on a collision course with the dark secrets in the park and in his own past.



Neill (photo) plays Paul Souter, who has been a head park ranger in Yosemite for half his life. He is a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to Turner (Bana). He is comfortable in all facets of his job, whether he is dealing with crime in the park or the bureaucracy surrounding it.

Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith serve as co-showrunners and produce alongside Bana, John Wells and Erin Jontow through John Wells Productions, Todd Black and Tony Shaw for Escape Artists Entertainment, Steve Lee Jones for Bee Holder Productions and Cliff Roberts for Syndicate Entertainment . Warner Bros. Television is the studio.

Neill was recently seen starring opposite Annete Bening in Peacock's limited series Apples Never Fall. Neill was nominated for an Emmy in the NBC miniseries Merlin (1998) and recently played two roles in a film franchise: Alan Grant in Jurassic World: Dominion and Actor Odin in Thor: Love and Thunder.

He will also soon be seen as lawyer Brett Colby in season two of the Australian crime drama The Twelve. Neill also had television roles in the BBC's Peaky Blinders and Showtime's The Tudors.
