Angela Sarafyan Cast in Prime Video's El Gato

Angela Sarafyan will have a recurring role in the Prime Video series El Gato. El Gato is based on the comic series El Gato Negro by Richard Dominguez and follows Frank Guerrero (Diego Boneta), who returns to Mexico after the death of his father. There he finds himself among a nest of vipers - his estranged family - vying for control of his father's business empire.

But Frank's grief is interrupted when he learns that his only inheritance, a seemingly worthless plot of land on the border, lies atop the hideout of a famous costumed vigilante - his father, 'El Gato'. Now Frank is in the crosshairs. To survive, he must solve mysteries that have been going on for decades and unravel the truth about his father's connections to a modern-day terror plot.



Sarafyan (pictured) plays Elisa Kazanjian, a stoic CIA agent who was involved in a horrific massacre while serving in Afghanistan ten years ago. The traumatic event left her cold and emotionless, but no less capable. She is currently serving in Mexico City with the 'Company' on a mission to unravel the criminal past of billionaire Gabriel Guerrero.

In addition to Boneta and Sarafyan, Lorenza Izzo, Sarah Jones, Adriana Barraza, Eric Lange and Alfonso Dosal also star.

Eric Carrasco created the series and will executive produce the series with Turi Meyer and Alfredo Septién. In addition to Carrasco, the series is executive produced by Boneta, Meyer, Septién, Toluca Pictures' Steve Stark, 1.21's Andrew Mittman and Carla Gonzalez Vargas; and co-executive produced by Kai Dolbashian, Marilu G. Carranza and Joel Novoa-Schneider.

El Gato is produced by MGM Television, a division of Amazon MGM Studios.

Sarafyan is best known for her series regular role as Clementine in HBO's Emmy Award-winning drama Westworld. She also had roles in FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show, CBS' Blue Bloods and Hulu's Into The Dark.
