Michelle Pfeiffer Officially Confirmed for Yellowstone (2018) Spinoff Madison

MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios have officially confirmed the casting of Michelle Pfeiffer.
Sources previously reported that Pfeiffer (pictured below) was attached to the project, along with Patrick J. Adams and Kurt Russell, who have yet to be officially confirmed. Pfeiffer and Russell have been in talks for months, and their names were first linked to the series in February and June, respectively.

According to the synopsis, the series is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection that follows a New York City family through the Madison River Valley in central Montana.

"Michelle Pfeiffer is a remarkable talent who imbues every role with emotional depth, authenticity and grace,” said Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios. “She is the perfect anchor to the newest chapter of the Yellowstone universe, Madison, from the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan."

Madison is executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, Michelle Pfeiffer and Keith Cox.

Pfeiffer has appeared in numerous films including Tim Burton's Batman Returns, Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express, Adam Shankman's Hairspray, Brian De Palma's Scarface and Martin Scorsese's The Age of Innocence. On the television front, Pfeiffer starred as Betty Ford in Showtime's The First Lady.
