HBO Max Drama Series The Pitt Adds Nine New Cast Members

The Pitt, the upcoming drama series starring and executive produced by Noah Wyle, continues to expand its cast.
A whopping nine new actors have been cast in recurring roles for the HBO Max series. Shawn Hatosy (pictured below), Michael Hyatt, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Brandon Mendez Homer, Kristin Villanueva, Amielynn Abellera, Alexandra Metz, Krystel V. McNeil and Deepti Gupta join the series from John Wells Productions and Warner Bros Television.

In addition to Wyle, previously announced cast members include Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shabana Azeez and Katherine LaNasa.

Created by R. Scott Gemmill, who also serves as showrunner, The Pitt is a realistic exploration of the challenges facing healthcare workers in modern-day America, seen through the lens of frontline heroes working in a modern-day Pittsburgh hospital.

Character descriptions are being kept under wraps.

The Pitt is produced by John Wells Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, where JWP has an oversight deal. Gemmill will write the first episode and executive produce the series with Wyle, Wells and JWP’s Erin Jontow, Simran Baidwan and Michael Hissrich.
