Nine actors added to Prime Video's comedy series Overcompensating

Prime Video's Overcompensating has expanded its cast with nine actors, including Connie Britton and Kyle MacLachlan.
In addition to Britton (pictured) and MacLachlan, the actors who have been cast also include Kaia Gerber, Julia Shiplett, Tommy Do, Alexandra Beaton, Claire Qute, Elias Azimi and Maddie Phillips.

From creator, writer, executive producer and star Benito Skinner, Overcompensating is a comedy series about the wild, chaotic journey of Benny (Skinner), a secretive former American Football player and prom king. He finds himself quickly befriending Carmen (Wally Baram), a high school misfit who wants to fit in at all costs.

Guided by Benny's older sister (Mary Beth Barone) and her campus legend boyfriend (Adam DiMarco), Benny and Carmen juggle terrible affairs, flavored vodka and fake IDs. The series explores how we all overcompensate as we search for who we really are.

Britton (Nashville) plays Kathryn, Benny's overprotective mother and struggling with empty nest syndrome; MacLachlan (Desperate Housewives, pictured) plays John, Benny's overbearing father who can't break away from Benny's high school glory days; Shiplett (Love Life (2020)) plays Mimi, Grace's gay, free ex-girlfriend; Do (Hacks) plays Kevin, a freshman orientation counselor at Yates University who takes his role very seriously; Gerber (Palm Royale) plays Esther, one of the terrifying and untouchable co-heads for Yates University's elite secret society Flesh & Gold.

Beaton (Ride) plays Bridget, Esther's Flesh & Gold co-head who takes great pleasure in running the show; Qute (Workin' Moms) plays Sloan, a former horse girl and current posh, posh Yates student; Azimi plays Chris, an overconfident Yates freshman trying to be the perfect version of a fellow college student, and Phillips joins in a guest role as Gigi, a freshman party girl who is up for anything.

In addition to Skinner, Jonah Hill, Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin are executive producers for Strong Baby. Charli XCX guest stars and serves as executive music producer for Overcompensating, which is produced by A24 and Amazon MGM Studios.
