Ted Lasso actress Juno Temple is returning to Apple TV+ — in another series: The Husbands. The four-time Emmy nominee will star in a comedy-drama called The Husbands , based on Holly Gramazio’s best-selling novel of the same name.
Temple is still in talks to reprise her role as Keeley Jones in Ted Lasso , which Apple TV+ recently picked up for a fourth season.
In The Husbands, Temple (pictured) plays Lauren, who arrives home to her London flat and is greeted by her husband, Michael. "There's just one problem: She's never met him in her life," the series description reads. "As Lauren tries to figure out how she can be married to someone she doesn't remember meeting, Michael goes up to the attic to change a light bulb and abruptly disappears. In his place appears a new husband. Lauren realizes that her attic is creating an endless supply of husbands and asks herself: If changing lives is as easy as changing a light bulb, how do you know you're on the right path? When do you stop trying to be better and start living?"
Temple received three Emmy nominations for her work on Ted Lasso and a fourth for her starring role in the most recent season of Fargo on FX. Her television roles also include Paramount+'s The Offer and USA Network's Dirty John.
The series hails from A24, which also produced Sunny and Mr. Corman for Apple TV+. Miriam Battye is the head writer of The Husbands, which will run for eight episodes.
