Lindsay Lohan to star in Hulu series Count My Lies

Lindsay Lohan is about to complete her first scripted television series. The actress is set to star in Count My Lies, a drama series in development at Hulu. The project hails from 20th Television and former This Is Us showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, and is based on a novel by Sophie Stava. Lohan will also serve as an executive producer.



Count My Lies centers on compulsive liar Sloane Caraway, who bluffs her way into a job as a nanny for a beautiful and charismatic couple, Violet and Jay Lockhart. "It looks like she's finally landed her dream job," the show's description reads. "But little does Sloane know, she's just stumbled into a household full of secrets that are about to explode — with potentially catastrophic consequences for everyone."

Sources say Lohan (pictured) will play Violet Lockhart.

If it does become a series, Count My Lies will be Lohan’s first lead role in a television or streaming series. She has guest-starred on a number of shows, including Ugly Betty, Eastbound & Down, 2 Broke Girls and Glee (where she played herself).

Lohan will soon be seen in Disney’s feature film Freakier Friday, which hits theaters in August and is a sequel to the 2003 film Freaky Friday. Other recent roles include the Netflix films Our Little Secret, Irish Wish and Falling for Christmas and a cameo in last year’s musical Mean Girls.
