One of the actors from the legendary HBO series The Sopranos will star opposite Patrick Dempsey in the new thriller series Memory of a Killer Emmy winner Michael Imperioli, known for his roles in The Sopranos, among others, will play a leading role opposite Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy) in Memory of a Killer, a new thriller drama series from Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment.
Imperioli (pictured) is set to star in his first series regular role since the second season of HBO’s anthology series The White Lotus, where he played Dominic Di Grasso — a role that earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
Memory of a Killer, written by Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, is inspired by the award-winning 2003 Belgian thriller The Alzheimer Case (also known as La Mémoire du Tueur).
The series follows Angelo Ledda (Dempsey), a hitman who leads a dangerous double life while harboring an even deadlier secret: he has early-stage Alzheimer’s. Imperioli plays Dutch, a seasoned Italian chef who runs a restaurant in the Bronx. While his business is a household name, it also serves as a front for his criminal activities.
Dutch is not only Angelo’s oldest friend, but also his employer, giving him the orders for his murders. Despite their close bond, Dutch is anything but trustworthy—his charming facade masks a ruthless and unpredictable nature, forcing Angelo to trust him in a world where trust can be deadly.
The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television and Fox Entertainment and is set to premiere midseason on Fox.
Michael Imperioli rose to international fame as Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos, for which he won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. The actor recently appeared in an episode of FX’s American Horror Stories on Hulu and has also appeared in CBS’s crime series Blue Bloods, CBS’s crime series Hawaii Five-0, and Netflix’s supernatural series Lucifer.
