Actor Sope Dirisu, known from Gangs of London, has been cast in the lead role of the new Netflix series All the Sinners Bleed.Sope Dirisu plays Titus Crown, the first Black sheriff of Charon County, Virginia. When Titus investigates a church shooting, he stumbles upon gruesome crimes and discovers a serial killer who has been stalking the town's woods and back roads unnoticed for years.

The case becomes even more complex when it turns out the perpetrator may have ties to a local church, intertwined with the town's painful history. While Titus appears outwardly determined to solve the case, he harbors a painful secret from his past. Meanwhile, he must also deal with a far-right group that wants to hold a parade in honor of the town's Confederate past.
The series comes from Joe Robert Cole, known for American Crime Story and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, who serves as writer, showrunner, director, and executive producer.
The project is part of a broader collaboration between Higher Ground and Netflix. Other recent or upcoming projects within this partnership include: The Altruists (in development), Starting 5 (released), Bodkin (released), Leave the World Behind, American Symphony, Working: What We Do All Day, and Rustin.
Dirisu will also soon be seen in the Netflix series Black Rabbit and in Akinola Davies Jr.’s film My Father’s Shadow, which was the first Nigerian film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival and received a Special Mention for the Caméra d’Or.
