Spotlight On: Jeremy Allen White

Lights off, spotlight on! Time to see which series Jeremy Allen White also has on his resume. Jeremy Allen White is an American actor who is only just coming to the attention of the general public. This is partly because his biggest role to date is one in a series that you either find fantastic or not at all. The Bear is comedy that is not for everyone. For White, however, it is a second major breakthrough.

However, White is not only known for this comedy series. The New York-born actor first appeared in a television series in 2006. That was Conviction, an American drama from the makers of Law & Order. White also appeared in the latter series a year later, before reprising his guest role a year later.

White filled the time between these roles with several films, namely Beautiful Ohio and The Speed ​​of Life. The short film Aquarium also welcomed him on set during filming. In the years after his Law & Order guest role, he returns to making (short) films. However, most of them are not too familiar. Also, not all of them are equally appreciated.

In 2010, White briefly returned to the Law & Order universe. This time he plays a guest role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. After an otherwise quiet year, White takes his first real step up the ladder of success. He does this with the series Shameless, where he plays the role of Lip Gallagher. Shameless tells the story about the impoverished Gallagher family, who don't mince their words and tell it like it is. They are extremely loyal to each other, but that also causes them some problems.

Shameless (US) is a great success and ultimately runs for ten years, after which the time for comedy is pretty much over. In the retrospective series Shameless Hall of Shame, White returns to his character Lip, although that shameless story ultimately only lasts six episodes.

White has also starred in the series Homecoming in the meantime. This mysterious thriller from Amazon is about the mysterious Geist Group, a rather special wellness group with a quite unorthodox program - the Homecoming initiative.

After a few mediocre films - especially The Birthday Cake - another big step up the ladder of series success follows. White takes on the role of title hero Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto. This young man already has several years of experience as a chef in the world of fine dining when he returns to Chicago. There he has to take over the family's business: a sandwich shop. A recipe that naturally calls for all kinds of surprising abuses.

The Bear will return to television for a third season on FX at the end of June. Get your taste buds on edge.
