NBC Announces Fall 2023-24 Broadcast Schedule

NBC has announced its fall schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 television year.
It is still unknown when the new season will start due to production delays due to the WGA strike. The network has included two seasons of the Canadian series Transplant, should it be necessary to fill a time slot.

Chicago Fire

Fall returns include Chicago Fire (Season 12), Chicago Med (Season 9), Chicago PD (Season 11), Deadline NBC (Season 32), Law & Order (Season 23), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit ( season 25), Night Court (2023) (season two), Quantum Leap (2022) (season two), The Voice (US) (season 24) and The Wall (2016) (season five resumes).

New series Extended Family, Found, and The Irrational will launch this fall, while The Americas, Deal or No Deal Island, and the as-yet-unnamed America's Got Talent spin-off will launch mid-season.

The return dates of La Brea (season three), Law & Order: Organized Crime (season three), Lopez vs. Lopez (season two), and Magnum, P.I. (season five resumes) will be announced later.

The fate of NBC comedy series American Auto, Grand Crew and Young Rock is still up in the air.

Law & Order: Organized Crime

Last year's #1 new unscripted series Password, starring Jimmy Fallon and hosted by Keke Palmer, returns with another round of the iconic game show. NBC also debuts an epic 10-episode series The Americas, narrated by actor, producer, and writer Tom Hanks with music by two-time Oscar winner Hans Zimmer. In addition, the third and fourth seasons of the hospital drama Transplant return to the network.

NBC has more series in the top 20 than any other network in the key 18-49 demographic and is home to the #1 unscripted program The Voice (US), the #1 broadcast drama with Chicago PD, the #1 entertainment program with Saturday Night Live and the #1 new comedy of the 2022-23 season with Night Court (2023). As part of NBC's ongoing development cycle, the following projects have been picked up as pilots and series decisions have yet to be made: the comedy series Non-Evil Twin and St. Denis Medical, and the dramas Wolf and the untitled pilot of Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs. With NBC's 52-week scheduling strategy, these pilots - if serialized - could potentially be seen later in the 2023-24 season or in the 2024-25 season.

Young Rock

Decisions on American Auto, Grand Crew and Young Rock have yet to be made.

The fall 2023 schedule follows another big summer on NBC, where the network has been ranked No. 1 in total viewership for eight years in a row. Season 18 of America's Got Talent kicks off in May, along with the debut of Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge, the car makeover competition based on one of the world's most popular toys. In June, the top athletes are back in season fifteen of American Ninja Warrior and LA Fire and Rescue is coming to follow the real heroes of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
