All moments from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are available to users of all HBO Max subscriptions.
The updated HBO Max offers a choice of different subscription types, including a new Basic with advertising subscription.
WBD and Ad Alliance have entered into an exclusive partnership for advertising sales on HBO Max in the Netherlands. The advertisements shown in the Basic with advertising subscription (pre-rolls, mid-rolls & pause advertisements) are provided in the Dutch market by media sales house Ad Alliance. Pre-rolls mean a video/trailer before the content you want to watch, mid-rolls are commercials during the content you are watching and pause advertisements are shown when you pause the content you are watching.

What happens on June 11?
• When opening the current app, the subscriber is immediately asked to download the new blue app. When someone watches via hbomax.com, they are automatically taken to the new streaming environment.
• Billing and login information remains the same.
• Profiles, watch history, and My List are transferred so subscribers can pick up where they left off.
Subscription types
HBO Max offers a choice of different subscription options, plus an ad-added Sports add-on that can be added to any subscription. Full, on-demand coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is included in every subscription, ensuring all customers get full access to the world's biggest sporting event.
Basic with advertising:
• A Basic with advertising subscription is introduced for €5.99 per month.
• This subscription allows users to enjoy HBO Max at a lower price and includes advertising.
• Users can stream content on 2 devices simultaneously. Content is available in Full HD resolution.
Standard:
• The price of the Standard subscription is € 9.99 per month.
• Users can stream content on 2 devices simultaneously. Content is available in Full HD video resolution.
• This subscription allows up to 30 downloads to also view available content offline.
Premium:
• The Premium plan costs €13.99 per month and offers the best consumer experience.
• Users can stream content on 4 devices simultaneously (max. 2 for Sports). Full HD or 4K resolution, plus Dolby Atmos sound, (where available).
• With this subscription, a maximum of 100 downloads can be made to also view available content offline (limited).
Sports add-on:
• The Sport add-on costs €5.00 per month and offers coverage of live sporting events including UFC, Grand Slam tennis, the Grand Cycling Tours, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the live linear channels Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 – and much more.
• The Sport add-on can be added to any subscription.
• Users can stream sports content on up to 2 devices simultaneously.
And what about that lifetime 50% discount? After launch on June 11, subscribers will continue to pay the reduced price of €3.99 per month. On the next renewal date, HBO Max will continue to apply the 50% lifetime discount to the then-current monthly price of the new Standard subscription (currently €9.99 per month) as long as you maintain your subscription and meet the terms and conditions of the promotion. Your new reduced price will change to €4.99 per month. The new price for the Standard plan is higher than the current monthly price due to significant improvements in the offering and features of the updated service.

The launch of the revamped HBO Max is accompanied by the highly anticipated return of the HBO Original series House of the Dragon, the second season of which premieres on June 17. Subscribers can also enjoy a wide range of quality entertainment with films from Warner Bros. – such as Barbie, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom and Wonka – plus HBO Originals such as The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Euphoria, True Detective: Night Country, The Regime, The Sympathizer, The Jinx Part Two and the new comedy series The Franchise.
A new range of Max Originals, based on popular Warner Bros. titles, will also appear on the platform, including The Penguin and Welcome to Derry (Stephen King's IT). Also films from Warner Bros.' extensive catalogue. are included in the range, including the entire Harry Potter series, The Matrix, The Dark Knight, Joker and The Lord of the Rings, but also the popular series from Discovery and TLC such as Gold Rush, Fixer Upper and 90 Day Fiance.
The Sports add-on offers fans great sports, including cycling from both the men's and women's World Tour such as the three major cycling tours (Giro d'Italia, La Vuelta a España and Tour de France), the Tour de France Femmes and all the monuments, classics and all cyclo-cross. You can also watch all UFC events, tennis Grand Slams such as Australian Open, Roland-Garros and US Open, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, plus all major winter sports World Cups and World Cup events.
