Based on the short story by Manuel Gonzalez, The Miniature Wife is a high-concept marital drama. It explores the power (im)balance between spouses Lindy (Banks) and Les (Macfadyen), who fight each other after a technological accident causes the ultimate relationship crisis.

A three-time Emmy nominee, Banks recently starred opposite Zach Galifianakis in Apple TV+'s true-life drama The Beanie Bubble, voiced one of the main characters in Universal's animated film Migration and starred opposite Sigourney Weaver in the Sundance-premiering drama Call Jane. On television, she had a role in the FX on Hulu miniseries Mrs. America.
Macfadyen is probably best known for his role as the devious Tom Wambsgans in HBO's Succession, a role that won him two Emmys, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award, but he also has a romantic background. His first major starring role in films was as Mr. Darcy opposite Keira Knightley in the 2005 film adaptation of Jane Austen's classic Pride & Prejudice.
He recently appeared in Quiz (UK) and Stonehouse, two British ITV series, and will soon be seen in Marvel Studios' upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film. Macfadyen can also soon be seen starring opposite Michael Shannon in Death by Lightning, a Netflix series about the assassination of President Garfield.
