Kristen Johnston on board Chuck Lorre & Leanne Morgan comedy series for Netflix

Kristen Johnston reunites with Chuck Lorre and Susan McMartin as she joins the cast of Netflix's Leanne Morgan untitled project in a series regular role.
The trio Johnston, Lorre and McMartin previously worked together on four seasons of the CBS series Mom. Created by Morgan, Lorre and McMartin, the new comedy series follows Leanne, whose life is turned upside down when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman.

Starting over when you're a grandmother and going through menopause isn't exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family, she'll get through this new chapter with grace, dignity, and jello salad.

Johnston (pictured above) stars opposite comedian Morgan as her sister Carol, a divorcee without children who would rather hang out in a bar than go to church. Despite their differences, Carol is fiercely loyal to her sister (Leanne) and is her ride-or-die.

Chuck Lorre, Leanne Morgan, Susan McMartin and Judi Marmel are the executive producers. The Untitled Leanne Morgan Project comes from Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Two-time Emmy winner Johnston is best known for her portrayal of the alien Sally Soloman in 3rd Rock from the Sun, a series that ran for six seasons from 1996 to 2001. For her performance, she earned three Emmy nominations with two wins for Best Actress in a comedy series in 1997 and 1999.

Most recently, she appeared in season three of HBO's The Righteous Gemstones opposite John Goodman and Danny McBride and HBO Max's Our Flag Means Death.

Her film roles include Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas, Music and Lyrics and Bride Wars.
