Now the creative minds behind the series have been revealed. Legendary television writer Alec Berg and veteran producer Adam Countee, who have overall deals at ABC Signature, will produce the comedy pilot.
If the names Alec Berg and Adam Countee sound familiar, there's a good reason. Berg previously created Barry with Bill Hader. He was also showrunner of the HBO series. His previous credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm and Silicon Valley, both from HBO and Seinfeld (NBC).
In addition to the aforementioned Silicon Valley, Countee also produced Community (NBC) and Vice Principals (HBO). He also served as co-executive producer of The Shrink Next Door (Apple TV+) and consulting producer of Run (2020) (HBO).
"They're very established and good writers. So we're very happy with that and things are going very well. Everything is, let's say, on track." executive producer Daniel Ricciardo hinted in a conversation with BH during the 2023 Melbourne Grand Prix.
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill Entertainment, Ricciardo, Amy Solomon and Lionsgate also serve as executive producers.
