Netflix is ​​developing novel-based thriller series They'll Never Catch Us

Netflix has started development of They'll Never Catch Us.
They'll Never Catch Us is a series adaptation of the bestselling thriller novel by Blumhouse Television's Jessica Goodman.

Published by Razorbill in July 2021, the book centers on a small town's women's cross-country team and the secrets that are revealed when its star player is murdered. Goodman (photo, left) and Juliet Lashinsky-Revene (photo, right) are co-writing the adaptation and will produce it together with Blumhouse.

Goodman's debut novel, They Wish They Were Us, a New York Times and USA Today bestseller, is currently in development by Sydney Sweeney's production company Fifty-Fifty Films. The author, who is also behind titles such as The Counselors and The Legacies, has seen her work translated into 14 languages.

Previously, Goodman was an editor at Cosmopolitan magazine and was part of the team that won a National Magazine Award for Personal Service in 2017. She has also held editorial positions at Entertainment Weekly and HuffPost and her work has been published in magazines such as The Cut, Elle, Glamor and Marie Claire.

Lashinky-Revene is currently co-executive producer on ABC's Will Trent and previously worked on Law & Order: Organized Crime and wrote and produced episodes for several seasons of Dick Wolf's NBC series. She previously worked on USA Network's Dirty John and Sexy Beast for Paramount+. She also developed an original drama titled Demons, inspired by true events from the Satanic Panic of the 1980s, for Hulu.
