Tatiana Maslany cast in pilot of Amazon's The Nightbeast

Tatiana Maslany stars in The Nightbeast, a pilot for Amazon MGM Studios. Maslany (pictured below) will also produce the pilot which follows a young mother who is dissatisfied with her seemingly perfect suburban life, so she begins an affair with the ogre in her son's closet – a surprisingly sexy man called the Night Beast .



But this innocent affair, which she thought was a figment of her imagination, begins to have unexpected consequences as her two worlds increasingly collide in this seductive, darkly comic tale.

The series comes from Leah Rachel and Travis Jackson. Executive producers of the project are Peter Warren, Justin Levy, Fred Berger and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Station26, A Range Company), Kristen Campo (Campout) and Jamie Babbit (director).

Recent acting roles for Maslany, who won an Emmy in 2016 for her role in Orphan Black (BBC America), include Prime Video's Invincible, Disney+'s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and HBO's Perry Mason (2020).
