Nathan Lane (photo, left) and Matt Bomer (photo, center) star in and produce the series that also stars Linda Lavin (photo, right). Mutchnick and Kohan are writing the pilot and James Burrows is directing.
Executive producers are Mutchnick, Kohan, Burrows, Lane, Bomer and Murphy. 20th Television is the studio.
The series follows three best friends - gay gentlemen of a certain age - who, after an unexpected death, decide to spend their golden years together in Palm Springs, where the richest one lives with his mother and a naked Gen Z housekeeper.
Lane plays Bunny Schneiderman while Bomer plays Jerry Frank. Lavin takes over the role from Bunny's mother, Sybil Schneiderman.
Bunny, a successful businessman in retirement, is always looking for love, but he must first be convinced that he is worth it. Like her son, Sybil's strengths are also her weaknesses: wise, caring, and iconoclastic - which sometimes means she is critical, stifling, and amoral.
Jerry left the Mormon church and his marriage in his early 20s after his wife told him and the rest of the congregation that he was homosexual. Jerry is now a saint in the literal sense of the word and he is pure of heart. He is also hard of body and soft of head.
Lane is known for his recurring role as Teddy Dimas on Hulu's Only Murders in the Building and has appeared in HBO's The Gilded Age, Showtime's Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, FX's American Crime Story, CBS' The Good Wife and more. and ABC's Modern Family. He can soon be seen in Netflix's Ryan Murphy's Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
Bomer was most recently seen in the Showtime limited series Fellow Travelers and has previously had roles in Netflix's Echoes, USA Network's The Sinner and White Collar, HBO Max's Doom Patrol, several seasons of FX's anthology series American Horror Story, and more.
Lavin recently guest-starred on The Good Wife spin-off Elsbeth, starring Carrie Preston. She had a series regular role on CBS comedy series B Positive and guest-starred on NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent, HBO's The Sopranos, CBS' Madam Secretary and Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet.
