Snowflakes is a twenty-something comedy series with a large ensemble cast that follows a group of codependant roommates — Billie (Lucy Freyer), Anton (Owen Thiele), Samir (Malik Elassal), Paul Baker (Jack Innanen) and Issa (Amita Rao) — as they try to be good people despite being neither “good” nor “people.”
The series stars Kronengold and Shaw, who wrote and executive produced the pilot, along with comedy veterans Nick Kroll, Jonathan Krisel, who directed the pilot, and Stefani Robinson.
“We’re excited about the exceptional cast and team of comedians we’ve assembled for Snowflakes,” said Nick Grad, President of FX Entertainment. “Not only does it give us the chance to introduce our audience to the brilliant comedic voices of Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, but it also gives us the chance to reunite with Nick, Jonathan and Stefani, all incredibly talented veterans of FX’s signature comedy series.”
Kronengold and Shaw, who have been writing partners since college, have worked as writers on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon since 2019. Their Yale commencement speech for Hillary Clinton has gone viral, garnering 7.6 million views on YouTube.

Snowflakes is created by Kronengold and Shaw, and executive produced by Kronengold, Shaw, Kroll and Alicia Van Couvering of Good at Business, Krisel and Robinson. The series is produced by FX Productions.
Snowflakes is one of two new comedy series from FX, alongside English Teacher. The brand, riding high on the success of The Bear (FX on Hulu) and the continued strength of veteran It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FXX), aims to bring in reinforcements following the end of Reservation Dogs and the impending departure of What We Do in the Shadows.
