First look at Katherine Kelly in Channel 4 series In Flight

Channel 4 gives a first look at Katherine Kelly in In Flight, the latest plane thriller full of suspense and danger that could have a major impact on the television world.

Set in a world of drug smuggling, crime and deceit, In Flight is written and co-developed by Mike Walden (Marcella) and Adam Randall (Slow Horses). Katherine Kelly stars as Jo Conran, a single mother and flight attendant who is forced to use her job to smuggle drugs.

Jo comes under pressure from Cormac (played by Stuart Martin) after her son is imprisoned in Bulgaria for a murder he claims he didn’t commit. As Jo finds herself drawn deeper into a dark world of corruption and hitmen, she must carry out their orders while desperately trying to find a way out. She seeks help from her ex, customs officer Dom Delaney (Ashley Thomas). No matter how far Jo drifts from her old life, her goal remains the same: to keep her son alive.

Katherine Kelly previously won acclaim for her role as the ruthless Angela van den Bogerd in ITV’s BAFTA-winning Mr Bates vs The Post Office. In Flight, she’s joined by new cast members including Bronagh Waugh as Melanie, Harry Cadby as Sonny, Corinna Brown as Kayla and Ambreen Razia as Zara.
