Apple TV+ shares premiere and start dates for many (new) series and documentaries

Apple TV+ announced the release dates of a host of new and returning series on the first day of the Television Critics Association's Winter 2024 press conference.
This includes new seasons of returning series such as Acapulco, The Big Door Prize, The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy, Loot and Trying.

Dates were also announced for the new series The New Look, The Dynasty: New England Patriots, Constellation, The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, Manhunt (2024), Palm Royale, Sugar, Franklin, Dark Matter, Presumed Innocent and Land of Women.

“Today we are elated to be unveiling so many brilliant new stories and characters for audiences to fall in love with in 2024,” said Matt Cherniss, head of domestic programming, Apple TV+. “These compelling series all reflect Apple’s dedication to crafting stories that not only entertain but reflect the richness of our shared human experience, foster a sense of understanding and spark cultural conversations around the world. We can’t wait for everyone to experience what we have in store.”

Here are the premiere and start dates for some new and returning series:

Wednesday, February 14 : The New Look
Historical drama series from Todd A. Kessler, starring Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel.

Friday, February 16: The Dynasty : New England Patriots
Ten-part documentary event from Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries, showcasing the rise of the New England Patriots.

Friday, February 16: Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin
The origin story for one of Peanuts’ most beloved characters, Franklin, follows how he approaches making new friends.

Wednesday, February 21: Constellation
Eight-part conspiracy-based psychological thriller starring Noomi Rapace and Jonathan Banks.

Wednesday, February 21 : Messi's World Cup: The Rise of a Legend
Four-part documentary event tracking the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner through his career.

Friday, March 1: The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin
Six-episode comedy-adventure series starring Noel Fielding as the legendary British highwayman.

Friday, March 8: The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy - season two
Seven-part second season follows Levy as he makes his way through Europe.

Season 2 of the reboot of Jim Henson’s classic Fraggle Rock.

Wednesday, April 3: Loot - season two
Season two of the comedy starring and executive produced by Maya Rudolph.

Friday, April 5: Sugar
Eight-episode drama starring Colin Farrell.

Friday, April 5: Girls State
Directed and produced by Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine, and Davis Guggenheim’s Concordia Studio, the documentary follows 500 teenage girls from across Missouri gather for a week-long immersion in an elaborate laboratory of democracy.

Friday, April 12: Franklin
A new limited series starring and executive-produced by Michael Douglas.

Wednesday, April 24: The Big Door Prize - season two
Based on M.O. Walsh’s novel, season two follows the residents of Deerfield as the Morpho machine readies them for the mysterious “next stage.”

Wednesday, May 1: Acapulco - season three
Season 3 of the bilingual Apple Original comedy series starring and executive produced by Eugenio Derbez.

Wednesday, May 8: Dark Matter
A sci-fi thriller series based on the book by bestselling author Blake Crouch.

Wednesday, May 22: Trying - season four
Comedy starring Esther Smith and SAG Award-nominee Rafe Spall.

Friday, June 14: Presumed Innocent
A new eight-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal, from David E. Kelley and executive producer J.J. Abrams, based on The New York Times bestselling novel by Scott Turow.

Summer 2024: Land of Women
A six-episode dramedy starring Eva Longoria, who also serves as executive producer, alongside Carmen Maura and newcomer Victoria Bazúa.

Dark Matter was such a great book! It's been years since I've read it ... to all that see this, do yourself a favor and read it before the May 8th!
