Trailer Revealed for Hulu's Documentary The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

Hulu has released the trailer for the new eight-part documentary The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
The documentary follows a group of Mormon mothers/influencers behind the hashtag #MomTok. As the group rises to fame on social media, their world implodes when they were caught up in a headline-grabbing sex scandal. Their sisterhood is shaken and their faith, friendship, and reputation are tested.

"I love the Mormon church, but there are a lot of rules that we have to follow," Mikayla Matthews says in the trailer.

Another woman says, "We were raised to be these housewives to the men, serving their every desire."

Mayci Neeley says in the trailer that their goal in using social media is "to break the stigma of gender roles in the Mormon culture."

One of the husbands says he's "scared" of the consequences their newfound fame might have for them because "in the Mormon church, there are rules for a reason."

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars Taylor Frankie Paul, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Mathews, and Whitney Leavitt.

Jeff Jenkins Productions, in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative, is behind The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Executive producers are Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, Brandon Beck and Eric Monsky at Jeff Jenkins Productions; Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans at 3BMG; and Danielle Pistotnik, Georgia Berger and Lisa Filipelli at Select Management Group.

All eight episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives debut on Hulu on Friday, September 6.
