In 'Olympic Dreams' Wilfried de Jong sits at the bedside of athletes Dafne Schippers, Nadine Visser and Churandy Martina, handball keeper Tess Wester, windsurfer Kiran Badloe, swimmer Kira Toussaint, judoka Noël van 't End, skateboarder Candy Jacobs, horizontal bar gymnast Bart Deurloo and track cyclist Harrie Lavreysen. All Dutch top athletes who dream of glory at the Olympic Games in Japan. The athletes dream their Olympic dream and Wilfried dreams with them. The 'sleep scenes' of cameraman and documentary maker Rob Hodselmans are interspersed with match footage.
