Pop TV cancels One Day at a Time

Pop TV cancels One Day at a Time

Pop TV has decided to cancel One Day at a Time (2017), but the showrunners and cast have high hopes for a second takeover.
One Day at a Time (2017) was originally made for Netflix but the streaming service decided to cancel the series after its third season. Pop TV decided to give the series a chance and took over. Earlier this year, the fourth season was released on Pop TV but the network has now decided to cancel the series as well.

Gloria Calderón Kellett (iZombie) - showrunner of the series - still has high hopes regarding another takeover. Sony Pictures TV is the studio behind the comedy series and is currently planning to sell the series. Lead actress Isabella Gomez (Matador (2014)) talked about the cancellation and hopes, just like Calderón and showrunner Mike Royce (Men of a Certain Age), that the series will be sold to another network or streaming service.

Always found this a nice series at Netflix. Not up to Modern Family or Friends level but better than most sitcoms. Too bad it can't seem to attract a larger audience.
