While recording a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the building's complex secrets stretching back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell each other. Soon, the threatened trio come to the realization that a killer may well be living among them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it's too late.
The third season of Only Murders in the Building will start on Tuesday, August 8. The date was announced Tuesday as part of Disney's Upfront presentation.
If that date sounds familiar, it's because Steve Martin and Martin Short dropped it during a recent stop on their comedy tour. However, Hulu would not confirm the date at the time.
As previously reported, season three of the murder mystery will star three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep (Big Little Lies). She's one of many additions to the A-list ensemble, which now includes Paul Rudd (who was introduced in the season two finale), Jesse Williams (Grey's Anatomy), and Ashley Park (Emily in Paris). They join returning regulars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
The series is from co-creators and writers Martin and John Hoffman. They also co-produce with Short, Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios.
