Onze man bij de Taliban is a Dutch documentary which aired on VPRO. The series premiered on January 22, 2023.

Our Man with the Taliban tells the stories of Afghans who, after the West abandoned them, have to continue living under the Taliban.
Thomas hangs out with proud Taliban bombers, speaks to brave women fighting for an equal place in the new 'Islamic Emirate' despite all threats, and sees in the countryside the devastating effects of years of drone attacks by the Americans and their Western allies.
During his months in Kabul, he gets to know a TV presenter who wants to be president and opposes the mandatory face covering when she reads the news. He also visits a Taliban fighter who has adopted a child of his slain brother and yet is still ready to travel to paradise himself.
Young women are not allowed to attend school by the Taliban, but in an illegal class, Thomas meets angry 15-year-old girls who are taught despite the risks.
