Outer Range follows rancher Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin) as he fights for his land and family after discovering an unfathomable phenomenon at the edge of the Wyoming wilderness - a dark void.
The mystery surrounding the void on the ranch's western pasture deepens in season two, as Royal and his wife Cecelia (Lili Taylor) struggle to keep their family together in the wake of their granddaughter's disappearance. The stakes are higher for the Abbotts, who are now threatened on multiple fronts.
Prime Video has scheduled the return of Outer Range season two for Thursday, May 16, with all seven episodes. First photos have already been released, which you can find above and at the bottom of this news item. Season two comes from showrunner and executive producer Charles Murray.
In addition to Brolin and Taylor, the film also stars Imogen Poots, Tamara Podemski, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, Noah Reid, Shaun Sipos, Isabel Arraiza, Olive Abercrombie and Will Patton. As revealed in April, Christian James, Megan West, Daniel Abeles, Kimberly Guerrero and Monette Moio will have recurring roles this season.
Outer Range is produced by Charles Murray, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Ernest McNealey, Josh Brolin, Tony Krantz, Heather Rae and Jon Paré. Brolin makes his directorial debut in the penultimate episode of this season.
