In anticipation of the new episodes, six new photos have emerged showing Claire (Caitríona Balfe), Jamie (Sam Heughan) and the others returning to Scotland for the first time since season three. You will find the images above and at the bottom of this news item.

After the first half of Outlander season seven, Claire, Jamie and Young Ian (John Bell) leave the colonies and arrive in their beloved homeland: Scotland. The dangers of the Revolutionary War force them to choose between standing by those they love and fighting for the country they have made their new home.

Meanwhile, Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) face new enemies across time and must fight the forces that threaten to tear their family apart. As loyalties shift and painful secrets come to light, Jamie and Claire's marriage is tested like never before. As their love binds them across oceans and centuries, can the MacKenzies and Frasers find their way back to each other?

In addition to Balfe, Heughan, Skelton, Rankin and Bell, the cast also includes David Berry as Lord John Grey, Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom, Izzy Meikle-Small as Rachel Hunter and Joey Phillips as Denzell Hunter.

In addition to the eight remaining episodes in season seven, Outlander is currently in production for a ten-episode eighth and final season. The Outlander television series is inspired by the international bestsellers of the same name by Diana Gabaldon.

On the prequel series front, Starz shares a sneak peek of Claire and Jamie's parents in the Scottish Highlands in the early 18th century. The first season of Outlander: Blood of My Blood is currently in production in Scotland and will air in 2025.

The series explores the lives and relationships of Claire's parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Jamie's parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy). These two parallel love stories take place in two different time periods.

Matthew B Roberts is showrunner and executive producer for both series. Ronald D. Moore, Maril Davis and Jim Kohlberg also serve as executive producers on both series. Moore and Davis developed Outlander for television, under their production name Tall Ship Productions.

Toni Graphia, Luke Schelhaas, Andy Harries, Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan also serve as executive producers on Outlander, which is produced by Tall Ship Productions, Left Bank Pictures, Story Mining & Supply Company and Sony Pictures Television.

I hope they end it well. The first season interested me more than the last. So hopefully it ends with a bang.
