Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler has been canceled by HBO Max after three seasons

The transition from EPIX to HBO Max was a short-lived experience for Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler. HBO Max has pulled the plug after three seasons.
Pennyworth underwent a transition from EPIX to HBO Max after two seasons. The series had undergone a name change as its only change. Following the name change and a third season, Pennyworth's spy mission status has been changed to cancel. HBO Max thinks it has been enough after three seasons and ends the umpteenth series in a short period of time. With this, the drama series joins other canceled DC shows Titans (2018) and Doom Patrol, both of which also end on the streaming service after their fourth season.

Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler

The series follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier, who starts a security company in 1960s London and teams up with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) before becoming Bruce Wayne's father. . The third season begins after a five-year time jump: the civil war is over and a cultural revolution has changed the world for better or for worse. This change ushers in a new era of superheroes and super villains.

“While HBO Max is not moving forward with another season of Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler, we are very thankful to creator Bruno Heller and executive producers Matthew Patnick, Danny Cannon and John Stephens, along with Warner Bros. Television, for their brilliant, unique, gripping depiction of the origin of Alfred Pennyworth, one of the most iconic characters in the Batman world,” said an HBO Max spokesperson. “An incredible blend of action, drama and humor, for three seasons, Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler has taken fans on a mind-bending ride into Alfred’s eccentric world and the beginnings of cutting-edge super heroes and super villains.”

All three seasons of Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler are still available on HBO Max to this day.

Unfortunately, your second news item for MySeries can also be called sad news. :):) Personally I think it's a shame because I found it entertaining and I liked the atmosphere and the humor.
