Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler has been canceled by HBO Max after three seasons

Pennyworth underwent a transition from EPIX to HBO Max after two seasons. The series had undergone a name change as its only change. Following the name change and a third season, Pennyworth's spy mission status has been changed to cancel. HBO Max thinks it has been enough after three seasons and ends the umpteenth series in a short period of time. With this, the drama series joins other canceled DC shows Titans (2018) and Doom Patrol, both of which also end on the streaming service after their fourth season.



The series follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier, who starts a security company in 1960s London and teams up with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) before becoming Bruce Wayne's father. . The third season begins after a five-year time jump: the civil war is over and a cultural revolution has changed the world for better or for worse. This change ushers in a new era of superheroes and super villains.
