In Rick Riordan’s expanding mythological world, the Gray Sisters are old women who share one eye and one tooth and run a “taxi company” in New York City. They encounter some of the main characters after capturing them while on the run in Sea of Monsters.
Bernhard will play Anger, the gray sister responsible for collecting fares from the heroes who call the cab. Anger eagerly awaits her turn to use the one eye the sisters share.
Schaal will play Tempest, who currently has the coveted eye the sisters share. She uses it to peer into the heroes, read their futures, and tease them about their crushes and social lives.
Cho will play Wasp, the head driver of the Gray Sisters Taxi. She takes the heroes on a fast-paced, terrifying journey to Camp Half-Blood. Although she is blind most of the time, she has seen everything.
The news comes about two weeks after the San Diego Comic-Con panel where it was announced that Daniel Diemer had been cast as Tyson the Cyclops, who is Percy's (Walker Scobell) half-brother, the son of Poseidon.
Season two just began production a week ago in Vancouver. The cast can’t say much about what’s to come, though they did share a few tidbits during Disney’s Entertainment Showcase.
During the series panel, lead actress Leah Sava Jeffries assured, “Your jaw will be on the floor when this season comes out.”
Season two follows Percy Jackson (Scobell), Annabeth Chase (Jeffries), and Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) as they embark on a new adventure based on The Sea of Monsters, the second book in Rick Riordan’s bestselling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series published by Disney Hyperion.
The new season finds Percy Jackson returning to Camp Half-Blood a year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth changes, he learns he has a Cyclops brother, Grover goes missing, and the camp is under siege by the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right takes him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.
Bernhard has previously appeared in American Horror Story: NYC and FX’s Pose, and CBS’s 2 Broke Girls. Schaal can be seen in FX’s What We Do in the Shadows and has appeared in Disney+’s The Mysterious Benedict Society and Fox’s The Last Man on Earth. Cho was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for NBC’s 30 Rock and has guest-starred in HBO Max’s Hacks and The Flight Attendant, and Freeform’s Good Trouble.
