Piste noire is a French crime series which aired on France 2. The series premiered on January 23, 2023.
In the Alps, the Clairies resort celebrates the victory of its downhill champion, Boris Arnoux, the country's darling. The party is in full swing when a fire breaks out further down the valley, in a makeshift camp. A caravan burns and a poorly housed seasonal worker is trapped in the flames. This 'accident' is the starting point of an investigation led by Emilie Karras, a young gendarme from Lyon, originally from Les Clairies where she grew up, but which she also left twelve years ago to save herself. She is forced to stay and work with Major Servoz, a disillusioned local gendarme. They will discover the meanders and pretensions of this resort, swallowed up by a luxury real estate project that divides people as much as it stares at the mountain.
