Premiere date of Apple TV+'s Presumed Innocent pushed back

Apple TV+ has pushed back the premiere date of Presumed Innocent.

Presumed Innocent, by David E. Kelley, J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV, is inspired by Scott Turow's 1990 court thriller. The new series has Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role and as executive producer.

Revamped by Kelley, a lawyer by profession, the series explores obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love as the suspect fights to keep his family and marriage together. Ruth Negga, Bill Camp and Elizabeth Marvel also star.

Presumed Innocent will now premiere on Wednesday, June 12, a few days after its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on Sunday, June 9. The premiere was originally scheduled for June 14.

Kelley is the writer, executive producer and showrunner of the series. Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich produce for Bad Robot. Kelley produces with Matthew Tinker through David E. Kelley Productions.

Gyllenhaal, Dustin Thomason and Sharr White also executive produce. Turow and Miki Johnson are co-executive producers. Anne Sewitsky directs and produces the first two episodes. Greg Yaitanes will also direct.
