Priscilla Delgado
This new version of Prison Break is a standalone story set within the same universe as the original series, but without the return of lead characters Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell). The spin-off was announced in late 2023 and officially picked up for a pilot in December.
Delgado joins an impressive cast including Emily Browning, Lukas Gage, Drake Rodger, Clayton Cardenas, JR Bourne, Myles Bullock and Georgie Flores.
The original Prison Break series (2005–2009), created by Paul Scheuring, gained worldwide recognition with the story of a brilliant engineer (Scofield) who devises an ingenious escape plan to free his wrongfully sentenced brother. The series ran for four seasons, was followed by a series finale (The Final Break), and a fifth season in 2017. In August 2024, Prison Break was even the most streamed series in the US, according to Nielsen.
Priscilla Delgado is known for her roles in Euphoria (HBO), A League Of Their Own (Prime Video) and the Spanish science fiction series Los Protegidos. With her addition, the main cast of the new Prison Break pilot is complete.
The pilot is being developed by Elgin James, co-creator of Mayans MC (2018), who is known for gritty, character-driven stories in criminal environments. Expectations are high for this new interpretation of a beloved franchise.
