With 80.3 million views to date, prequel series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is now number ten on the list, replacing The Watcher.
Since Netflix only releases viewing figures for the Top 10 series each week, it is unclear how many times the series was viewed in the week of July 17 to 23 to cross the line. The series has not appeared in the weekly Top 10 since June.
Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story now joins both seasons of Bridgerton in the honor roll (season one is number 4 and season two is number 8).
This became possible after Netflix adjusted its ratings in June. At the eleventh hour for Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the streamer extended its measurement window from 28 days to 91 days, giving the series enough time to make it to the most popular list after an incredibly impressive debut that just fell short of the honor. In fact, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story still has time to climb further in the rankings with just under two weeks until the end of its 91-day premiere window.
In other news, Sweet Magnolias season three jumped ahead of The Lincoln Lawyer season two to take the top spot on the Netflix Top 10 for the week of July 17-23. However, they were neck and neck with about 4.6 million views each.
Recurring favorites dominated the rest of the list with The Witcher season three (4.2 million), Too Hot to Handle season five (4.1 million), Survival of the Thickest (3.8 million), Fatal Seduction (3 .2 million) and Quarterback (2.9 million). The first season of The Lincoln Lawyer was also there with 2.1 million views.
In fact, the non-English film Bird Box Barcelona was Netflix's most-watched title for the second week in a row with 19 million views - far more than the audience for anything else on the streamer.
The Out-laws was again ranked No. 1 for English-language films with 12.1 million views. Unknown: Cave of Bones debuted at number 2 with 6.5 million views.
They Cloned Tyrone, the new film from writer/director Juel Taylor starring John Boyega, Teyonah Parris and Jamie Foxx, debuted at No. 3 on the list of English-language films with 6.3 million views. The Deepest Breath, Extraction 2 and Nimona were also on the list.
