Reginald The Vampire canceled by Syfy after two seasons

There will be no third season of Reginald The Vampire. Syfy has canceled the horror-comedy series after two seasons.

Based on the book series by Johnny B. Truant, Reginald The Vampire follows Reginald Andres (Jacob Batalon) who, in a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires, falls in as an unlikely hero.

He has to overcome all kinds of obstacles - the girl he loves but can't be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire leader who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers that he has some unrecognized powers of his own.

In addition to Batalon, the cast included Savannah Basley, Em Haine, Mandela Van Peebles, Jeremiah Chechik and Harley Peyton.

The cancellation of the series follows the move of Syfy's Resident Alien to USA Network. The fates of both Reginald The Vampire and Chucky, which is shared by Syfy and USA Network, were pending and Chucky is still to be decided.

Syfy has the Canadian co-production SurrealEstate, which has been renewed for a third season, and the new horror drama Revival planned.

Reginald The Vampire is produced by Great Pacific Media, Modern Story Company, December Films and Cineflix Studios and executive produced by Harley Peyton, Jeremiah Chechik, Todd Berger, Lindsay Macadam, Brett Burlock and Peter Emerson. Batalon was co-executive producer.

The series aired the finale episode of its second season on July 10.
