Ripley is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy to try to convince his wandering son to return home. Ripley's acceptance of the assignment is the first step in a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder.

Ripley stars Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood and Johnny Flynn as Dickie Greenleaf. The cast also includes Eliot Sumner, Maurizio Lombardi, Margherita Buy and John Malkovich.
The eight-episode limited series, premiering on Thursday, April 4, is directed and written by Steven Zaillian. The series was originally set up for Showtime but moved to Netflix in anticipation of the premium cable network's addition to Paramount+.
Ripley is co-produced by Showtime and Endemol Shine North America in association with Entertainment 360 and Filmrights.
Executive producers are Steven Zaillian, Garrett Basch, Clayton Townsend, Guymon Casady (Entertainment 360), Benjamin Forkner, Philipp Keel (Diogenes) and Sharon Levy and Charlie Corwin (Endemol Shine). Scott serves as producer for the series.
