Salvation - Season 1
When an asteroid turns out to be heading towards Earth, the entire world is at stake. But the only thing the US government can think about is a secret project called Atlas.
MIT student Liam Cole (Charlie Rowe, Red Band Society) unexpectedly figures out that an asteroid will hit the earth within 184 days. He approaches his professor who dismisses him by saying it's probably nothing. Nothing could be further from the truth.

His professor doesn't show up for class the next morning. Liam contacts Darius Tanz (Santiago Cabrera, Merlin), a billionaire whose lecture Liam attended earlier that day. Tanz decides to help him. Friendships are made, bonds are broken and people are betrayed.
The CBS suspense-thriller Salvation showed up in my 'because you've watched Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey' Netflix list. At first I expected an Indie show. One with a bad story and a fair amount of awkward moments. Luckily this was just prejudice.
I agree with a previously written review by Danny Wilde on the Dutch version of MySeries. Here he states that the pace is good and before he knew it an episode had passed. The special effects and 3D models were good and weren't overused. I really think it's cool how they used various storylines to end up at one massive season finale. Conspiracies and tense Pentagon meetings. It all provides us with a better ambiance.

So. Is Salvation a show that I'll gladly re-watch? Yes, without a doubt. I can't wait for the second season and I'll definitely recommend this show to others if they want to watch something that is fast-paced. Salvation requires a bit of time to get going, but if you put through, it's worth it. A show with a good story, fun and decent acting and lots of conspiracies.

Salvation is a show with solid acting and a good foundation. At first it appears as if there's only one thing going on, the asteroid and the approaching destruction of Earth. Luckily more storylines start to emerge after a while and these provide us with a bit more depth.Luckily more storylines start to emerge after a while.
