Sanctuary, the series that was cancelled by Syfy in 2011, is set to return. It just hasn't been revealed where it is going to return. Eight years after Syfy cancelled the series, it is going to be reborn. The science fiction series first premiered on the 3rd of October in 2008. It was eventually cancelled after the fourth season, which released in 2011.
Supposedly, Amanda Tapping (Travelers) has already signed a contract to return as the iconic Dr Helen Magnus. The original executive producer, Martin Wood (When Calls the Heart), is also willing to work on the new seasons. It is not yet clear if the series will continue on a network or a streaming service. Because of that, a release date hasn't been confirmed yet either.
Amanda Tapping in Sanctuary
Sanctuary revolves around the adventures of the 157 years old doctor Helen Magnus, one of the first female doctors in the Royal College in the Victorian era. Helen attempts to discover the mystery behind the existence of supernatural creatures and attempts to protect said creatures from the rest of the world.
