Scandal

A little writing about by-passes and foxes in the on call room was apparently not enough for the spiritual mother of Grays Anatomy, so in her free evenings she also came up with a series about the biggest scum on the planet, lawyers. Olivia Pope and her team are fixers. During the week a tough businessman, but at the weekend you fold your business into a little too small Marlies Dekkers and the local newspaper is going to write a piece about it? Olivia fixes it. Did your Jeep Cherokee 'accidentally' run over your husband's shed three times in the K-mart parking lot? Olivia fixes it. Olivia actually fixes everything. Well, except for her own life. And that 'way' with her lips when she talks and the persistent urge to overact a game that makes you scary, she apparently hasn't found a solution for that either. The latter was a reason to put Scandal aside after an episode or four and focus on series with actors who do act normal, but at a certain point those series are over and then you panic and a man panics weird things. Scandal with slight reluctance then look further, for example. And luckily! The series only gets better and better in season two and as long as she just keeps her mouth shut, Olivia is of course a joy to watch. In season three it all collapses again and you only reach the finish line on your gums. No problem if your name is Anky van Grunsven, but for the average viewer it is a tough job. Then you must be prepared for it.

Started season 1. Looks nice. Not just a completed storyline per episode. I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes. There are still some questions unanswered, which makes me curious about the next episode.
