Schnee is an Austrian/German thriller series which aired on ORF 1/Arte. The series premiered on November 16, 2023.
The doctor Lucia Salinger (Brigitte Hobmeier) moves with her family from Vienna to the Tyrolean mountain village of Rotten, the hometown of her husband Matthi (Robert Stadlober). Her ten-year-old daughter Alma (Laeni Geiseler) suffers from severe asthma. The mountain air is supposed to alleviate her illness, but the family's new start in the mountains is bumpy. The winter sports resort is suffering from the fact that there is no snow due to climate change. Bruno (Karl Fischer) and Maria Hofer (Maria Hofstätter), the biggest hoteliers in the village, do not want to accept the situation. So Bruno decides to blow up a mountain ridge to build a new gondola station to boost tourism. As expected, there is resistance in the village, and young Valentina (Marie-Luise Stockinger) also defends herself against Bruno's plans.
