The series is based on the series with the same name from the UK, which ran from 2004 till 2013. Shameless (US) revolves around Frank Gallagher, the proud father of six smart and independent children who were probably better off without him. These children found their own way to grow up. The Gallaghers do not show respect, are very self-centred, extraordinarily resilient and don't know shame.
