HBO drama series Six Feet Under will soon also be available on Netflix

After True Blood, another HBO series by Alan Ball (who once won an Oscar for American Beauty) will appear on Netflix: Six Feet Under.

Six Feet Under received critical acclaim when it aired on television from 2001 to 2005, and the final episode is considered one of the best series finales ever. The series has 63 episodes, spread over five seasons.

One of the leading roles in the tragicomedy series about a family that runs a funeral home in Los Angeles is for Dexter actor Michael C. Hall.

The drama follows the Fisher family, who run a funeral home in Los Angeles. Each episode opens with a specific death, which sets the tone for the rest of the episode. The family includes matriarch Ruth Fisher (Frances Conroy), son Nate Fisher (Peter Krause), son David Fisher (Michael C. Hall) and daughter Claire Fisher (Lauren Ambrose).

During its run, Six Feet Under won nine Emmy Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, three Golden Globes and a Peabody Award.

The drama series will be added on Wednesday, November 1. After Ballers, Insecure, The Pacific, Band of Brothers and True Blood, it is now the sixth HBO series to appear on Netflix.
