Snowpiercer is based on the comic series by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette and the film by Oscar winner Bong Joon Ho.
It stars Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Sam Otto, Chelsea Harris, Mike O'Malley, Roberto Urbina and Sheila Vand. Previously announced new cast members for season four include Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov.
Snowpiercer airs on AMC and AMC+, its new home, on Sunday, July 21 at 9 p.m., the network announced. AMC has also released a few first photos from season four. You can view them above and below this news item.
AMC acquired the rights to the Tomorrow Studios-produced series after TNT canceled the series in 2022 as part of a broader strategy that included writedowns for Warner Bros. content. Discovery concerns.
The first and second seasons will be available to stream exclusively on AMC+ starting Saturday, June 1. The third season will be released on the service on Saturday, June 8.
Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity living on a perpetually moving 1,001-car train that travels around the world. Class struggle, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in the television version.
Season three showed a split in the train with Melanie Cavill (Connelly) heading the Eternal Engine and the passengers choosing to remain aboard Snowpiercer for relative safety, and Andre Layton (Diggs) heading the others on Big Alice who chose to adventure into the unknown, outside world of New Eden.

Snowpiercer season four is produced by Paul Zbyszewski, Christoph Schrewe; Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner via Tomorrow Studios; Matthew O'Connor, Ben Rosenblatt and Scott Derrickson, along with the original film's producers Bong Joon Ho, Miky Lee, Jinnie Choi, Park Chan-wook, Lee Tae-hun and Dooho Choi.
The series is produced by Tomorrow Studios (a partner of ITV Studios) together with CJ Entertainment. ITV Studios distributes Snowpiercer internationally.
