Solar Opposites centers on a team of four aliens who are evenly divided over whether Earth is terrible or wonderful. Korvo (Dan Stevens) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) see only the pollution, crass consumerism and human frailty, while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love television, junk food and fun things.
In season five, with alien mission partners Terry and Korvo married, the entire Solar Opposites team focuses on family values.
The news of the season six renewal was announced during the series' panel at San Diego Comic-Con, after it was revealed that a Halloween special will be coming later this year.
Solar Opposites is produced by Mike McMahan, Josh Bycel and Sydney Ryan and created by McMahan and Justin Roiland. The series is produced by 20th Television Animation.
The series was originally created for Fox, which canceled Solar Opposites before being picked up by Hulu, which immediately ordered two seasons.
