In season two of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, led by Captain Christopher Pike, faces increasingly perilous challenges as she explores uncharted territories and encounters new life and new civilizations. The crew also embarks on personal journeys that will continue to test their resolve and redefine their destinies.
Featuring both new and familiar friends and foes, their adventures will unfold in surprising ways never before seen in a Star Trek series.
For example, the ninth episode of the second season, entitled Subspace Rhapsody, is going to be a real musical episode, something that has never happened before in the Star Trek franchise. Subspace Rhapsody features ten original songs, plus a special version of the main title of the series, with music and lyrics by Kay Hanley and Tom Polce (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). In addition, after the preview at San Diego Comic-Con on July 21, the special crossover between Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Lower Decks was already shown on Paramount + last Saturday. With that, episode seven came out earlier than usual, as Star Trek: Strange New Worlds releases a fresh episode every Thursday.

The series stars Anson Mount as Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley, Ethan Peck as Spock, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La'An Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas, and Babs Olusanmokun as Joseph M'Benga. Season two also features the return of special guest star Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk and newcomer Carol Kane in a recurring role as Pelia.
Season two of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers are the co-showrunners. Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Jenny Lumet, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers.
